White Tower

White Tower

When it comes to giving credit for the innovation of fast-food hamburgers at low prices, it usually goes to the big "Mc". But long before we had the golden arches, there was "White Tower" and the 5 cent hamburger. They were even cheaper if you bought them by the bagful. Just a short walk down the block, admission to the Strand movie theater was only 25 cents so dinner and a movie for two could be a really cheap date.
