Danbury Station
This is how I saw the Danbury Railroad Station when I painted it back in 1973, but it is
probably what it also looked like some fifty or sixty years ago. To really enjoy this painting, close your
eyes for a moment and try to imagine it is a pleasant spring afternoon. You are standing inside the station
and you feel the warmth of the sun flooding in through the window and the backdoor leading out to the train
platform. You can smell the old wood and perhaps sense the slight aroma of brewed coffee coming from the
lunch counter. Everything around you seems soft and quiet. Now open you eyes and enjoy the painting.
